Thick creamy nose of blackberry and vanilla. Needs air. Let it sit. Tuck it in. Read it a story. After 1.5 hr decant, jammy fruit of blackberry, strawberry and cherry. Medium tannins with a touch of black pepper. Second day smoother and full of body. More tannins surprisingly as if it spent the night calling its friends. Still a little life left in this one but premium now.

HOOOOOT!!! 16.1% on this monster. Blackberries, a touch of mint, and I suppose some green pepper. Hard to tell with all the booze. 2nd degree burns on initial palate, nice acidity and a relatively thin mouth. Blackberries, overripe strawberries and dark cherries. Lingering afterburn will keep you warm through those long winter nights.

This is t he last of 6 bottles, purchases a couple years ago. I wish I ha cellared the other bottles longer. This Zin has gone from a low to mid 80's to a 90. It needed the time in the bottle.
