Valentine's Day with Steve & Barbara (Their House): A 15-minute slo-ox allowed the wine to open and show its stuff. Lots of fruit - black cherry, blueberry and blackberry - along with some spice, a touch of chocolate, balancing acidity, and just a hint of structural tannin on the finish. Will probably hold for some time but why wait? Give it a bit of air and enjoy it soon.

This was surprisingly great. Got a deal on it at auction and wish I could have bought more. Screw cap. Pours dark with minimal bricking. Excellent nose. Great body, balance and a lingering finish. Drink now or could hold a few more years

Formal Note not taken but remember being extremely impressed. Shared it with wine club for a low price point example of why we age Wine. Also got to explain the cleverness of the naming :)) (referring to evaporation from the barrel)!
drank exactly a year ago. Proving the community drink window average way off (screw top shiraz, doesn't fall off the same way natural cork bottles do) Should Drink thru 2030!

PNP. This wine is just now coming alive. I was planning on selling this wine because I was not fond of the heavy blackberry Australian Shiraz flavor, but now the wine has matured and is fabulous. Dark cherry and blackberry. Fruit is very strong and tannins are well integrated. Gorgeous wine and actually quite surprised Parker was right about the wine but wrong about the drinking window. now is the time.

Perhaps coming to an end. Excellent upon open and remained solid through 3 hours if enjoyment. Chewy and smooth.
