Other MR's I've enjoyed have required a ton of air or aging to get past the substantial tannins. This was much more forward and accessible with a pop-and-pour--perfect for a same-day party. Inky purple hue; complex dark fruits with a touch of oak on the nose. Enjoyable dark fruits on the attack that continue through the mid-palate; smooth medium-length finish. On a par with the Dunham Trutina (also purchased for the same party) though perhaps less age-worthy.

(Board Track Racer Cellars The Chief Red Wine Columbia Valley) Dark ruby. An aromatically alluring wine that gives the immediate impression of a much spendier wine with incense, dark fruit, mocha, and toasty oak spices. The palate is full of dark fruit flavors with a creamy feel. 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 11% Malbec, and 11% Petit Verdot. 14.7% alcohol. 450 cases produced. Sample provided by winery.

Could use some time in the cellar...but smooth with blackberry notes.
