{375ml} A far cry from Eric's note in 2004, this has turned out beautifully. (blind tasted) Obviously Gewurz, but from where? Never mind, it doesn't matter, this is really engaging, wonderfully scented and evenly textured. My only nit is the acidity, a little low, but with the proper cheese/dessert, it's a small thing that would likely be overlooked/forgiven. Lychee, peach, and wet stone, with some perfumed floral accents. Great color still, though time to drink, now and for the next few years. 82% Oregon, 18% WA fruit, with 16% r/s by weight. 12,0% abv.

Wine Wednesday: Riesling Night (Willamette Wine Storage): Awesome nose here of apple and very nice mango scents. The mango is great! The palate is made up of some nice apple and cinnamon flavors. Surprisingly the mango doesn't come out. The acidity is quite nice as well. Unfortunately, There's an awkward note on the mid palate that dampens the experience a bit. Great flavors otherwise.

Heavily sweet nose, peach, vanilla. The palate is heavy with dried peaches, prune, spice but carries an off-balance alcoholic heat and acidity. In one word this wine is awkward. Good but not linear or balanced in the slightest. Ok, drinkable but boring overall.

Used to be one of our favorite dessert wines. Definitely waited too long to open this one. I'd happily try a newer bottle though.

What a surprise! Incredible amounts of peach and not too syrupy.
