Blend of 55% Mourvedre and 45% Syrah from Red Mountain. On the nose there is a bunch of floral notes and spices, violet, lavender, and cherry and fennel. The palate is incredibly well balanced with a complex combination of fruit, tannin and mouthwatering acidty. I would have thought the Syrah would have taken over, especially being from Ciel du Cheval, but the Mourvedre is really shining in this. Fantastic wine overall.
