Insane. Aroma is deceptively light and not as peaty as a typical Islay. Still briny and salty but a lighter version. But once it hits the palate then all that doesn't matter one iota. A tsunami of aromatic sea salt overwhelms and washes down smooth as silk with a lingering burn that lasts for a few minutes. The best single malt i have ever tasted. Bought this beauty 10 years ago from Wardour St Soho London and only found an occasion big enough to savor now for my second son's 1 month party shared with my brother. This was after we polished off a bottle of Cheval Blanc 83. Enjoyed in conjunction with Upmann magnum 48 '08 limited editions on a crisp and cold evening on my roof top Hong Kong baby. I am hitting the bed sack and will be dreaming of seaspray on wet scottish slate.
