Berry nose, tannic as hell upon opening, but after two hours of air, the wine softens and currant tastes emerge. Vanilla and berry return in a long finish.

PnVnD about 30 minutes prior to drinking and consumed over two hours with spicy turkey quesadillas.
Consistent with prior notes. Aeration is a necessity. Given time this opens nicely. Enough depth and acidity to handle the quesadillas easily. At $9/bottle this is outstanding QPR that can easily stand with solid riojas that sell for 2 to three times as much. Rated good to very good (84-86).

PnP. Consumed over four hours without taking a lot of notes. Consistent with notes, the wine opened up considerably over time. Tempranillo with a "darker" edge. Well balanced and solid. This is geat and versatile table red. Excellent value at $9/bottle as long as you give it time to open up. Rated good to very good (84-86).

Pnp - little to no aeration. Generally consistent with my previous notes, and the notes of many others. Without giving time to open up this is decent, but not outstanding. The cab component (40%) is evident - this is darker than your everyday tempranillo. Without time to open up this is a bit trough on the edges - some heat, some acidity, noticeable tannings, but not well integrated. Consumed over three hours and it does get better with time. But decidedly less impressive than other bottles where I have PnVd and given added time to decant. Excellent value, but be sure to give it time to open up.
