This pinot from La Crema is showing at its peak. Just 3,500 cases made from the Los Carneros vineyard for the 2004 vintage. Wonderful faded red cherry color and has a mild aroma. Taste is complex with lots of earth and spice and simply silky with dusty tannins to give it just enough finish. I don't find it terribly complex or deep, but it is a good California pinot noir. I had it with lefotovers a spicy steak salad loaded with grilled vegies.

Simple but true. Very juicy and plush with a ton of blueberry and pomegranate. As the wine opened, the wood started to shine through leading to a very complementary brown sugar and cinnamon. All of this together lead to a wine that was bursting at the seems with blueberry pie, fresh baked and sprinkled with pomegranate seeds. Impressive and juicy.

Perfect to drink in 2011, any longer is too long. Drink while cold, as it warms it gets a jammy flavor. Very full-bodied for a Pinot!
