  • Entertaining P&A at home. Pop and poured.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of sweet glue, petroleum, flinty minerality, green apple, and some floral elements. Developed.
On the palate, medium dry, medium+ acidity, low alcohol, medium- body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet glue, petroleum, flinty minerality, green apple. Medium finish.
Good quality enjoyable elegant and easily appreciated Kabinett. Acidity could be better though and could be on the wane. Enjoy now, and drink up by the next 2 years.
From the Goldloch vineyard in the municipality of Dorsheim in the region of Nahe.

(Schlossgut Diel Goldloch Riesling Kabinett) ($37.00) Withal it is rich – though not baroque – it has a crispness that makes “Kabinett” plausible – a Pittermännchen went too far into Spätlese for me. Lots of guava and soursop and ginger and malt, yet stony and with even a phenolic finish. +
