It takes awhile for Olive Hill to come around. This was drinking beautifully with NYE dinner 2014. Lush fruit & good structure. Sonoma doesn't get the respect it deserves for some of its cabernets. This wine from B.R. Cohn is always a sleeper.
Great dark color. Charry nose of black plum & blackberry with a distinct herbal element that is almost menthol-ish. A ying/yang of a wine. Entry is lean with vibrant red currant flavors that ride on tart, slightly green acidity. Not sure if this will improve with this sweet & sour ying yang going on, but it sure is tasty now. Atypical CA cabernet & why I love Sonoma Cabs.
