Good ruby color and clarity. Slightly barn yard and a little spice, predominantly pepper, on the nose ... a bit thin, delicate. Some minerality on the palate and still some fruit. Not intense or complex but a bit floral and feminine. All in all a nice wine above my expectations for this Calif. Pinot.

($24) Pale translucent color with a light haze and a tawny cast. Strawberry fruit dominates the nose but pleasant Pinot funk underlies the fruit with a green herb and tomato flavor. Full-bodied on the palate with a tendency toward the acidic. Pleasant enough, but vastly overpriced at III Forks steakhouse in Dallas.
