A decline in bouquet over the past year. Still nicely structured but drink over the short term to catch the best balance of fruit, oak, and acidity. As long as the producer is consistent, I would be a buyer of current vintage.
Warm yellow. Mineral, quince on the nose ... the sour milk note I noticed last time has subsided into a pleasant hint of nuts. Refreshing fruit on the palate with a long bracing acid finish. This wine has come into a lovely balance. 55+12+15+8.
Chilled for an hour, then poured. Delicious, very correct chardonnay. The nose is full of golden apple, tropical fruit, butter, and a touch of green. Great acidity on the palate balances out the creaminess. Not as much of a minerally component as I'd expected but it was still there. Drinking well above its $13 price point.
Very light gold color, average shimmer and clarity. Bouquet continues to show many of the same elements of lanolin, honeycomb, biscuit, coconut, and acetyl that I noted in February. Smooth palate with a higher mineral influence now. Clean citrus notes highlight the finish. Quite likable. 4+10+16+8 = 88
