Grape variety Xarel-lo, apparently one of Spain's high quality white grapes. Golden yellow. Expressive nose of quince, minerals, sea shell and a bit of butter. On the palate it starts full bodied, unctuous but with good acidity buffering it. This is a high quality, aromatic wine. If you like California Chard, try this next time as an alternative. 93+

Spanish white wine tasting. (Riga): What an interesting and enticing nose right from the start! Fennel, some intense dried peppermint greenness, very high minerality already on the nose. New oak on the palate, mild bitterness, creamy. Nose improves with air, there develop some cotton candy nuances. Very long finish. This was very good, on of the best wines for the evening. (A-)
