Light touch Chianti, red fruit, slightly sour cherry, black cherry, bit of wood & earth, smooth with light acid and little tannin--tasty but kind of disappeared with food--dinner of burgers & home fries. Il Poggiale riserva enjoyed in the past, has quite a bit more going for it.

By the half-bottle at La Strada, this was a decent lunch wine. Classic Chianti on the nose, earth and herbs, spice and dried berries. Very attractive. The palate was on the simpler side, but quite yummy - berries, sour cherries on a nice earthy base, with a finish sprinkled with just a kiss of spice, all this nicely balanced with soft acidity and a light chew of fine tannins.

Dark ruby colour with some tawny reflex on the rimm. Fresh nose with typical red cherries hints as well as some sweet spices. Medium body, tannins already integrated. Medium finish.
