Nose has hints of honey, jasmine, lemon oil, white flowers, and barely-smoked butter. Palate has light spiciness, nice yet subtle mineral energy, and good balance. There's also s touch of bitter almond on the long finish. Some grace here, but not really my cup of tea.

Ian's Blind @ Medlar (The Medlar, London): Blind. Pale to light gold. Rich. Trocken auslese or equivalent on the nose. Maybe an Austrain Smaragd Riesling on nose and palate. No, Alsace, so TPG, or maybe Muscat. Quite rich and some sweetness, this has a good thwack of RS. Bright, almost a little sweet of the food. Lovely though. ****

Curious nose somewhat reminiscent of asphalt, but not unpleasant. Considerably more minerally than the Gewurzes. Moderately mouth coating and off dry with slightly spicy apricot and yellow stone fruit flavors.
