  While later vintages have focused much more on Merlot (70% - 80%), the earlier years had a greater proportion of Cab. This wine is 53% Cab, 33% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdt and the remainder a blend of Malbec and Cab Franc, making it a left bank blend. This wine is dark, really dark. A delicate nose of spice, dark fruit gives way to pronounced palate of olive, cherry and fruit. These are balanced out by additional notes of casis and spice. I detected very little hint of aging in the palate, indication that this wine has significant cellaring potential ahead of it. This is supported by a tannic and acidic structure that, while present and complementary, is not overblown. The finish is long and delightful.

  Rose petal, perfume and stone bouquet. Dominated by cassis, lively tannins and plush mouthfeel. Astonishing balance throughout. Ultra structured and sleek. Secondary flavors coming through. Mega-long finish. In the prime drinking window. One for the ages.

  Wow. This wine is complete and showing exquisitely. First it's bouquet is sweet and fragrant, not a hint of alcohol or oak. The mouthfeel is round and structured with fine integrated tannins that presents cola, loads and loads of black slightly tart fruit it---blueberry pie, blackberry, tea and a tad of soy sauce. Mega long finish. No herbal, all fruit, all perfectly balanced.

  Blackberry, blackberry pie, blue berries; touch of cocoa, lead pencil; richer, creamier mouth than Rindo, fuller tannins, and more fruit forward also. Same excellent silkiness and balance, with very rich, but not heavy or gooey. Beautiful and voluptuous.

  Elegant wine...a bit more fragrant than the "ai", sexy nose. Easy drinking blend that most would enjoy. Ripe blueberries, and some dark cherry flavors. Liked it.
