  • A rather odd blend of organically grown Chardonnay and Rhône varieties (Viognier, Marsanne, Roussanne).

Pale golden yellow color with greenish highlights. Considering the varietals in question, the nose is very odd with very green and vegetal aromas of canned asparagus and cucumber with underlying hints of Viognier's perfumed florals, tangy citrus fruits a little bit of sweeter honeydew melon and a hint of wood spice. Ripe, juicy and moderately full-bodied on the palate with moderate, balanced acidity. Flavors of ripe apple, aromatic floral complexity, marzipan, some juicy tropical fruits and a hint of alcohol. There are lot of flavors that really don't talk common language, yet the wine comes across rather straightforward and lacking in complexity. The finish is quite dry and medium-long with expressive flavors of ripe apples, some spicy floral character, a little bit of exotic spice, hints of sweet exotic fruits and a touch of toffee oak.

A rather odd blend where the components fail to get together nicely. The odd, vegetal nose seems to be at odds with the ripe and tropical midpalate, the flavors don't really complement each other making this feel like four instruments all playing a solo together and the oak seems quite disjointed separate from the fruit. A mishmash of things that really doesn't succeed in doing whatever it might be trying. At 14,89€ the wine feels quite overpriced; hopefully a year or two in a cellar could create some harmony to this wine, because that is what this wine is lacking.

  • Tart green to yellow fruit on the nose with some herbs and new oak spiciness.
Dry and refreshing palate of intense tropical leaning fruit and oiliness. Apricots and pineapple. Lengthy finish with smoke, pepper and slight heat.
Not totally balanced effort but quite nice for a Chilean weird blend.
