Dark yellow, thick looking. All sherry at first-uh oh. Then, clearly an outsized Chardonnay full of honey. Rich and ripe but enlivened by citrus zest and truly astounding acidity. These Valette wines are certainly distinctive. This one borders on too strange and the degree of intrinsic oxidation is too much for me to find this entirely enjoyable. That it manages to retain some semblance of balance is a testament to the acidity.
