  • Lots of mineral to the aromas. I got just a hint of herb/celery salt, but that could have been the food too. or even drawing it out of the wine. But yes, it is actually the cooking, finding it in the wine. Transparent pear fruit. Charmingly so. Palate plays a very light handed potpourri.
    Day 4. Still holding quite nicely. More oyster and seaside notes today. Next to a fresh opened bottle of 2011 Hamilton Russell Chard, and showing a similar level of acid, surprisingly so.

  • maturing tree fruit. has a bit of a receding oak note to the nose. some vanilla, some cream. but very mineral in the aromas. clean pear fruit aromas. just a little bit of smoke to the nose. med/+ acid, very mineral palate. palate doesn't suggest oak the way that the nose does. lots of mineral.

    Tasted non blind at a wine dinner.

    Light yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of spices, sea breeze and wet stones. Flavors of lemon-lime soda, orange and minerals. Medium acidity, medium body. Drink or hold.
