A completely different wine this time, must have had a bad bottle last time. Agrees with StefanAkikos TN. A very nice malbec with plenty of life still in it, amazing QPR.

Decanted and drank over six hours. Felt like the wine went through a whole wine-lifetime during the evening. First pronounced acidic, some tannins, not as much as I had anticipated, and some raspberries and blueberries. After a few hours less acidic but more pronounced berries. By the end of the evening beginning to taste rather flat and even a little oxidized. Not as good as I had expected, have five more and will drink them within a year or two.

Non-blind. Slow-ox for 28 hrs. Impression: outstanding. Black and blue wine with grande nose of Malbec-blueberries (somewhat artificial ester nose) and roasted oak. In the mouth it immediately screams at you as something several leagues above its price tag. This is magnificent! This is Vin Diesel with a smile. Tannins are M++ with a fruity grin. Acids are great and all in all working together for a potentially long lived wine. This simply translates to a fecking awesome QPR... Back label reads: "decant slowly as this wine may have natural depisits resulting from ageing." And it's a 2011 wine, just barely botteled... Uncertain as to this wine's ageing capability, but willing to get a couple of btls for the wine cellar time machine medium haul programme.

Epic bubbles (blinded) (Zorg's place, Umeå, Sweden): Cold butter with lingonberry jam. Rich, fat, coarse red wine that was a treat after over 20 bubbly wines. I really prefer the red ones.
