This was one of our most pleasant finds.....a beautiful floral nose on opening....needed no time in the glass but def improved over 45 min of time. An absolutely delectable zin (51%) cab (37%) blend with merlot and petit verdot mixed in.....soft, velvety, just the right fruit with delicate spice but not watered down or weak.....wish we had more than 1 bottle left.
This deep ruby/red wine (a blend of 51% Zinfandel, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot) flaunts intense aromas of wild berries, anise, pine and chocolate. Full-bodied, fresh and with nicely integrated alcohol (14.5%), it delivers flavors in line with the nose. The tannins are medium in weight and mildly grippy in texture. Layered and building in the middle, it concludes with substantial length. This somewhat unorthodox blend takes the best from each varietal to create something memorable. Drink now-2019.
