  Oh boy... This wine is kicking some serious butt right now. Gorgeous nose of baked bread, spices, cola and gingerbread. Unbelievable harmony of tuscan rustic fruit and a warm pumpkin bread on a cold night in December. Absolutely poetic. This wine was decanted for 3 hours and each passing hour it kept holding its own. Which makes me believe either it is as its peak or almost there. This was my last bottle but it you have any remaining then better drink up!

  I would say this is peaking now. Beautiful herb nose. Palate much like previous notes but softer and more balanced. Had with a bistecca alla fiorentina, where it outshone a much higher end CA Cab. Not as rich or dense as that Bordeaux blend but much better with food. I will look for more.

  Fresh blackberry and cassis; slight oak and pencil shaving. Full bodied, silky with lively acidity. Ripe dark berry with cacao powder. High alcohol. Cherry liquor finish.
