  Wow, great port. Enjoyed by all after steak dinner on vacation in Avalon. No formal notes but drinking great now if you have them. I would have bought a case of this if I knew better…

  Surprised to not see any notes for this wine. Pretty cool little find in a recent Hartwell cyber Monday sale!
  
  This is an awesome expression of Benoits typical finesse in a very different style than I’ve ever seen from him. In fact, I’m not sure I can find any other late harvest wine he’s made. I believe this is the only year Hartwell has released of this (at least in modern times as far as I can tell).
  
  It’s like a Hartwell cab had a collision with molten chocolate cake...and it’s awesome. Just a great balance of really great traditional Napa cab fruit with a simi-sweet backside that was a huge crowd pleaser.
  
  At $21 a (half) bottle on sale this is a steal! I’m going back for more for sure.
