Deep, black ruby color. Aromas of black cherry, cassis, caramel, vanilla and burnt toast. On the palate - full-bodied with high acidity. Flavors of candied orange peel, baked blackberry, baking spices, chocolate, silky mocha and raisin. Long finish. A big, dark fruit bomb from the Windsor Oaks Vineyard of the Chalk Hill AVA. I cellared this for several years. What a treat. Paired with grilled, juicy cheeseburgers.

This is a decent Malbec that is perhaps not the qpr of other Malbecs, but it's not a 77 point wine either as some have described it. Bad bottle for them?
