  • A little past it's prime, but not by much. The mid-palate on this wine is lacking, and the finish is short and not inviting for more sips. Has nice flavors on the attack of stewed plum fruit, molasses, nutmeg and black pepper. Our pork loin vegetables stir fry, with garden fresh herbs, really helped propped up this wine. Drink up, not getting better.

  • To the nose, fragrances (white flowers?) and fruit (black cherry, boysenberry, strawberry, raspberry, red cherry and plum - seriously). On the palate, a blend of the fruits with cherry taking the lead. Silky threads for tannins. White pepper over black pepper and cinnamon. No earth, oak, tobacco, or vanilla. Very slight cola. Alcohol seems high but was on the cold side a tad when started.

  • This is a lush and full wine with noticeable tannins even after a 2 hour decant at room temp. At cellar temp it feels medium density but at room temp it is full bodied. Nice wine.
