Has improved with age, and improved some more with time in the decanter. Crozes-hermitage, for sure. Body somewhat more like a mid-tier cru Beaujolais. Good acid and a moderate, slatey finish.

The Rhone Rangers (City Winery, 155 Varick Street, New York, NY 10013): The nose showed red berry, forest floor and a hint of pepper. On the palate, it was lean yet balanced by zesty acidity with flavors of tart cranberry and a hint of green stems. The finish was medium in length with staying red fruits and pepper.

Russk. has not Improved with age. Still a bit thin and with some bug juice notes.

Dark, spicy, powerful black-pepper, some oak with a decent finish.

Russ. Hits me like a Cozes-Hermitage. Nose of burnt rubber. Light bodied
