  • Good cork. This was a bit ho hum when opened but already displayed good fruit. Decanted into a closed bottle 4 hours before serving blind with Font de Michelle and Burge Garnacha. Wow this wine impressed from the first approach to the end of the course of food (veal tenderloin). Black plums, blackcurrant, black cherries, liquorice, truffle, cedar, new leather and some allspice etc. Great soft tannins, excellent acidity and showing great length with a nicely poised fruity long finish. Wine of the bracket by far the popular choice also wine of the night.
