Starting to come around. Not in the same league as the Ravenswood Teldeschi 2011, but improving and starting to reach its potential. Close to being undrinkable 18 months ago, this is now decent and might even have some upside!

Decanted based on prior experience. Drank over two days. Still very young. Oak and tannins noted back in December are starting to smooth, but are still noticeable. Mixed spicy plum, wild berries, black licorice, and black pepper. More approachable on the second day. Goes well with slow smoked meats and BBQ. Probably has some upside over the next couple of years.

From the Rosenblum family's new venture. Dark fruit followed by underripe strawberries and sour cherry and vanilla. Agree that the oak is a little heavy and tannic at this time. This is a young wine and hopefully will smooth out and drop some of the acidity with age. Still, initial fruit is deep and outstanding just the way a Zin should be. Went well with Spedini Jaqueline and Eggplant Parm from Carmen's Cafe. I bought 6 bottles and gave 1 away for bday present. Drinkable now but will try every 6-12 months to see where this goes. (88+)

Lots of oak and hot . Fruit is there but overwhelmed by oak and a 15 % ABV. Needs time to integrate. Needs food and decanting at this juncture.
