Medium bodied, rustic and modern mix. Since 2017 has lost its animal elements — rich juicy fruit remain alongside minerality and plush structure. Youthful. Opens up and continues improving with 45 min. Good value

Feiner Wein. Sehr dunkle Früchte. Brombeeren. Kühle aromatik. Hätte auf syrah getippt. Ist die malbectraube, die hier den Ton angibt. Sehr mächtig. Etwas sauer am Gaumen. Aber insgesamt gut balanciert. Mittlerer Abgang

Medium plus ruby color. Ripe cassis nose. Faint tart black cherry. Smells like a St. Dalfour cassis jam. Good quality fruit.
Dry, full-bodied, 14.5% alcohol (correct), elevated acid, medium tannins - fine-grained and well-polished. Moderate impression of new oak - maybe 50-60% new French oak.
Full-bodied oaked red with no noticeable pyrazines
- CA Cab - would have more overt oak and higher tannins - Bordeaux - would have more earthiness and probably some pyrazines. - CA Merlot - would have lower acid - Older Australian Shiraz - like Elderton. Feels more old world than new world. - Priorat - fits
Final guess: Priorat, 2010, good quality. $50-70.
Actually: 2009 Chateau de CHambert $27 85% Malbec, 15% Merlot 12 months in french oak.
Analysis: Cahor should have been in my laterals!!!

Nice dark fruits, good acid & great length. A little surprised by how Bordeaux like it is, but very nice & still seems young

Nice cherry and chocolate notes with full body and spiciness. A bit less intense than Argentinian Malbecs.
