Wow, what a difference from last night's bottle. Same vintage, purchased and stored together. I guess bottle variation. Last night's was just OK, but this one is what I expected. A very good wine.

Very nice wine, enjoyed by all. Big but everything was well balanced. It's ready to drink now, but will improve with more time. We're not planning on holding for too long: probably will drink remaining bottles over the next two years.

Balanced big wine with firm berry tones but not overtly sweet. Tannins were mild to moderate even though not a strong oak flavor noted. for those likely a more fruit forward wine, you would have rated this a 94-95.

(Tom Scott Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Barn Burner) Very dark ruby color; tart black currant, cedar, blackberry nose; tight, tart black currant, cedar, blackberry palate with sweet tannins; needs 2-3 years; medium-plus finish 90+ points (field blend: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot)
