  • Geiles Zeug, schön trocken mit toller frucht, was für ein Sommer-Sauf-Wein.

  • Quite deep yellow-green color. Quite refreshing nose, but surprisingly vegetal for a Riesling: along with the aromas of lime and chalky minerality, there are nuances of grass, aromatic herbal greenness and a touch of white pepper. On the palate the wine is youthful and rather powerful with surprisingly full body for a Riesling. The flavors are dry and focused with notes of peach, lemony citrus fruits, some freshly picked apples, a little steely minerality and a hint of honey. Despite its somewhat full body, the wine feels very focused and sinewy, thanks to its pronounced, racy acidity that gives the wine great structure. The finish is rather long and refreshing with flavors of dusty minerality, lemon-and-lime-driven citrus fruits, a little honeyed sweetness and a hint of exotic spices.

A lovely, balanced, tasty and well-made Riesling that some richness and concentration without feeling too big or too ripe in any way. Great, powerful Nahe Riesling. Can be paired with heartier or more powerful dishes, or just cellared for up to 10 years - perhaps even more. Most likely will gain more depth and complexity with a few years in a cellar. Priced according to its quality at 18,90€.
