From 75cl, grotesque "DIAM5" synthetic cork closure with "12.24" imprint and fake cork-like spots and stripes painted onto the exterior(!) Attractive sweet lime note on the nose; very soft entry with more lime, underripe star fruit and a touch of oak. This wine sorely lacks minerality or resonance and is, at best, a well crafted, rather generic Chard with a New-Worldy touch. When will French producers finally agree to use screwcaps for cheaper, younger, fresher wines? Perhaps it's a kind of negative placebo effect after seeing and feeling the "cork", but the wine in this bottle does taste a bit tired, fat, prematurely aged. Drink up soon. 85-86P
