Definitely not past the window as CT would have led me to believe. Deep, dark color for a pinot. Quite a bit of alcohol on the nose initially, but liquid bacon fat on the palate--like coat your tongue with bacon. And that's as good as it sounds. Probably not a lot of time left, so friends will have to help with the next two bottles soon.

Bacon! Big, the alcohol was still there, but it stood up so well to the sugary salmon and the over-pancettad broccolini. I pulled it because it was past its official use-by date, and I'd committed to drinking a pinot, but I think there's still a lot in this bottle, and given the big preparation on the meal, I was thankful that this was not my usual austere taste in pinot.

Inviting nose ofcloves, cinammon and allspice; has real oomph showing bright cherry, dried herbs, slightly bitter but savory. Susan liked this better than I did, she's also a bigger Pinot fan.

This is at its peak. It is the last bottle of a case that I had. Nice fruit remains, and it has developed a very solid finish.
