Popped from a 375ml bottle. On the nose a bit of roasted notes and generic dried fruit. Full bodied and sweet, showing some generic dried fruit with subtle austere oaky notes. Overall quite balanced with dull flavors. A typical cheap tawny.

An unusual, and extremely good match with sticky toffee-walnut-ale cake dessert, with an ale ice cream. The bitter and sweet flavours of the dessert played wonderfully with the wine.

Pale Tawny colour. Nose has dried orange peel, raisins, figs, cinnamon and clove. Taste has notable tobacco, dried cherry and black pepper.
Good, but pretty ordinary tawny.

Not nearly as good as Graham’s 10 year Tawny. Don’t buy again at this price.

Game Week at the Freemasons Arms, Wiswell - Guest Chef: Josh Eggleton (from the Pony & Trap, near Bristol) (Freemasons Arms, Wiswell, Lancashire, England): Remarkably sweet and fruity for a tawny, even an entry level 7 year old like this. Violet perfumed black fruit on the nose. Big, spirity plummy black fruits on the palate, but it has good balance.
