  Dark amber in color
  Allspice. Oak and vanilla. Medincal
  Spicy anchor on the palate. Medium belly burn. Longish finish
  An OK sipping rum but high price point. Better value out there.

  Nose: A warm honeyish glue smell, here in Germany we used to have “Pattex Compakt”, smells just like that, with brown sugar, smell of an old leather boot repair shop.
  
  Palate: Nougat chocolate and a pretty subdued cherry fruit in there, burnt caramel, a jasmin tea note,velvety mouthfeel, very mild, balanced and dark, leaving a burnt taste in the length. Similar to the Pampero Reserva Exclusiva on a higher level. However it is also a bit watery and short, and that is not what I consider proper to this price level. So you have to keep sipping to get a sense of satisfaction, and that is not so good.
  
  As the bottle emptied, out from under and behind all the pleasant aspects gradually arose a woodsappy bitterness the was previously covered over. I have another bottle of this suitable as a gift or so, but I wouldn’t buy again.
