93+ Best bottle yet (and I have been tracking this wine via a case acquired in the early 2000's). Smooth silky tannins, balanced, cassis, earthy notes, long finish. Really really nice. Not a heavy weight at this stage but a very classy pour. Just as nice on the second day.
Last tasted back in 2016, it was my highest rated bottle that year I think, and so far as this year draws to a close it may be the highest rated bottle again!

Allowed to breathe in glass 1 hour. Clear deep garnet color. Volatile aromas of meat juice, saddle soap and prune juice suggested that this bottle was past prime. But after two hours, these aromas finally yielded to more pleasant and typical notes of black fruit, licorice, fennel, spicy oak, and forest floor. This wine needed at least three hours of air to become drinkable, and oddly enough showed best on days 1 and 4 under vacuum stopper in refrigerator.

Drinking particularly nicely, this beautiful, balanced, cab was firing on all cylinders. The nose was sweet fruit, vanilla and oak overtones, clove, mushroom and earth. On the palate it was savory, dark fruit, acid, smooth tannins and a long, lingering finish. Very very nice.
Lasted tasted and reviewed 4 years ago. While it didn't seem like this wine had much of a life ahead of it, it sure proved me wrong! This is probably my highest reviewed wine in 2016 so far. Yes, it was that good.

Remarkable - impressive across all fronts, still holding it's own and really not showing its age in any way other than delicious.
