  • Fresh citrus nose, grapefruit and quince on the tongue. Good accompaniment to camarones ala diabla.

  • Very clear, slight lemon/straw tint. Nose of apple and lemon-lime notes. Medium bodied silky mouth feel that coats the palate with intense, yet balanced, fruit and acidity. Well defined lemon fruit intermingled with earthy limestone chalk and raw vanilla bean. This SB has many Chardonnay characteristics (buttery oak) as a result of the chalky frame and underlying spice. The finish lingers as heat, minerals and spice carry it on and on. This is definitely a SB that demands food to fully enjoy; not a sipper. $99 Costco case price (with wooden box and bottle suspension) with a $35 rebate was too good a deal to pass up. Thank you Costco for twisting my arm!

  • Soft, gently spoken gooseberry and lychee fruit. Full bodied, generous, but not overripe. Finishes well. Doesn't set the world on fire but at least it's balanced. If you can catch 'em fresh, the inexpensive daily gluggers is what Santa Carolina has always been about. Good, honest dry white, at a fair price, and, most importantly, in balance. Drink now
