13.5% abv. Recent auction purchase. Cork was in great shape - barely stained beyond the edge. I had cautiously high hopes for this, but the brett levels were well beyond my tolerance level. Unfortunate, because it seemed like the fruit was still there and in good shape. Oh well...

Amazing together with a rich vinous nose and fantastic mouth feel. Tannins are all now very mild with a almost sweet after taste that lingers. A tribute to Fred Brander and the Santa Ynez Valley for producing such a long lasting cabernet.
nice nose of red and black fruits with menthol, well integrated tannins, medium weight, and a medium finish. If you are holding it for a special occasion, don't. drink it now.

Consistent with previous openings. Reportedly at its peak. We would not be able to confirm this because this bottle and the last bottle both had cork leakage. This is bothersome and should be a concern for Brander. It was for us. While the wine was fine, it is a disappointment to assume the wine could have been better (possibly).
