  • no decant--a bit sweet, but some nice spice and depth. Really quite nice showing of maturity and development. I wouldn't hold a lot longer, but the time so far has been well-invested.

  • unexpectedly nice--medium consistency and bearing--in no way "over the hill"--got some more worthy life in it--but taninns have mostly dropped away

  • Gotta say I'm a lil nervous that this over the hill!

    92% cab, 6% merlot, 2% syrah

Color - dark purple a lil inky

Nose - some sweet dark berries when 1st poured but now I'm getting some musty, really smells dead! (like the 00 spring valley Uriah I had a couple of days ago) Aaahhh

Palate - smoky w/simi sweet plums. A lil thin up front but a nice mouthfeel. Decent finish. Getting some nice spicies on finish 2. Keep coming back 2 sugar plums. Baking spices.

Over all this is holding up pretty well. I'm truly enjoying some older vintages of wa wine & seeing it mature.
