  • Brought this to Fragrant Garden for a dinner with my in-laws and their in-laws.

Drank brown in colour, almost tea/ cognac like. On the nose, the concentration of nectar, floral and sweet canned peaches packs a punch and delivers a mesmerising blow. Rich aromas of dried apricots, honey, and hints of orange zest completes the course of flavours on the nose.

On the palate the wine is very concentrated. It is full-bodied with a luscious texture and flavors of ripe peaches, figs, and a touch of caramel. The wine's sweetness is balanced by its acidity, creating a harmonious and elegant finish that lingers on the tongue. Sweetness was on the very high side, so pour moderately and sip slowly.

What sets this wine apart is its complexity and depth of flavor. The six Puttonyos designation means that it is made from grapes with a high level of botrytis (noble rot), which concentrates the sugars and flavors in the grapes. This process, combined with the wine's aging in oak barrels, creates a wine that is both sweet and complex, with layers of flavor that unfold with each sip. Delicious, complex and alluring, this wine carries considerable weight on its sholders and should be paired by an equally formidable dessert; think fruit tarts to creamy cheeses. Its depth and complexity make it a wine that can be savored slowly, and it is sure to impress even the most discerning wine drinkers.

  • 94/100.

    Beautiful sweet ambrosia.

Deep amber color. Bouquet of ripe yellow fruit, dried apricot, peach jam, linden honey.

Very balanced, acid and sugar in perfect harmony, nothing cloying about it.

  • Budapest, Hungary. Delicious, concentrated bouquet of honey, floral. Concentrated flavors of honey, citrus, floral, minerals. Just lacks the depth of acidity to bring the wine into perfect balance, leaving the mouth craving for more acidity. Long finish.
