  1 hour decant, low 60s F. Similar notes to the last bottle, but the blueberry and eucalyptus on the nose was more evident while the oak seemed more integrated and less noticeable. Finish lingered and lingered. Just a lovely elegant wine.

  Same as previous notes, however, I noticed more oak up front than previous bottles. Very surprised how this wine developed throughout all these years.

  Popped and poured. Initially 60 F, but I let the wine warm up a bit before fully imbibing, say 64 F. Deep garnet color with a slight amount of bricking.. Fragrant nose of herbs, earthy mushrooms with a bit of funk, eucalyptus and blueberry. My first perception was that this wine was full-bodied with a velvety texture, but with time and air, it evolved to a medium-bodied wine with a silky texture. Oak still obvious, but fairly well integrated. No noticeable heat, still has pleasant acidity at close to 25 years. Cassis, dried oak, light menthol and a hint of raspberry on the elegant palate. Very long lingering, drying finish. Yes, probably on the downside at this point, but still very tasty. I will drink my last bottle soon.

  Opened for 2018 Xmas. Little sediment. Garnet color. Elegant perfume right away. Secondary with tertiary elements on the nose. Cedar and red berries, little menthol integrated with silky tannins. Medium body with long finish. Another master piece from Napa. As old this wine might be still has some more life to go. Beautiful and under the radar california cab this wine is. This is one of those wines that are master pieces with a down to earth price. Two thumbs up on more buying.
