  • Perfect cork and fill. Dark ruby with very thin meniscus. Lovely nose for a sweet Pinot: crushed raspberries, vanilla extract, foggy morning and herbs. Perfect palate with berry liqueur and cigar smoke on the mouthwatering perfumed finish.

  • still holding up after 10 years. Nice cherry fruit. The cork had leaked quite a bit so I'm not going to score it. A bottle under proper cellaring would be better.

  • Well, I don’t agree at all here with Rovani’s assessment of this wine. The color is a deep garnet. The nose is open and overcomes the senses with scents of gardenias, ripe blackberry cobbler, blueberrys and red and black currants. The taste has evolved and is concentrated and full of flavors such as blackberry tart, blueberry pie, blackcherry, vanilla and spice. This is a real mouthful and could be easily mistaken for a big Burgundy from the Cote de Nuits. What a difference from Rovani’s description of the 1999. What a difference a year makes.
