In a vacuum, this is a nice, tasty California chardonnay, but given the name Aubert on the label, I thought it was a drop-off from what I typically expect from Aubert. This lacked the tension, depth and minerality I usually would normally get in an Aubert. But this is creamy, oily, with some richness of oak coming through. Don't get me wrong, this was delicious with chilled seafood, but it just wasn't top-notch Aubert to me.

Mid-week with salmon. I thought this might be pretty well faded by now, but it was not. Medium body, good white and stone fruit with balanced acidity and mineral tone on finish. Got a little tired over the course of the evening. Does not offer the depth of single vineyard offerings, but excellent -- especially in a challenging vintage. Drink up.

This is holding up reasonable well for an ordinary estate wine. Fully mature and the at the beginning of its decline. The nose brings aromas and of flowers, honey and autumn leaves. The palate is ripe apple, pear, with a touch of minerals and oak. Round medium bodied palate without a lot of structure but still presenting a tasty wine.

Drank over two nights, golden yellow, gorgeous nose, very nice pear , pineapple, tropical fruits, just enough oak and vanilla, appropriate acidity, and nicely blended Chardonnay.

Great surprise! We love Aubert’s single vineyard chards but this Napa blend was wonderful. Crisp and light but still wonderful fruit with just a hint of oak.
