Upon opening it had what I tend to call a "confected" quality that i like. Not sweet, but consisting of aromas you'd get from a dry mix of raw ingredients for making cookies or pie. Slightly noticeable alcohol at first but this softened and the wine rounded out. Mushed raspberry and baked apple for the fruit profile. We drank this slow and it fell off after a few hours, probably not one to keep over night. Time to drink it up.
