  • For some reason I liked this better in March. This time, it wasn't really giving me much besides a wispy barely discernible fruit and minerality . Don't know if it's in a dumb phase or just needed more air and complimentary food than what I gave it. Didn't even give up much on 2nd day.

  • Good QPR in an inexpensive Burgundy. A bit simple but the lean mineral with subtle fruit you would expect

  • Medium Good. Strawberries and earth on the nose. Good, viscous mouth feel. Red fruit and some umami on the palate but not much complexity. Acidic. Too tannic. Finish has some staying power, but that might just be the acid.

  • Aired for 5 hours though not decanted. The wine pours a musky purple, cherry red color. Medium legs. A burst of red fruits (particularly cherries), followed by hay, clean cut grass and faint leather appear on the nose. The wine was rather muted at first but the concentration and the power opened up after a while. A thick, full-bodied wine on the palate - almost like that of a bordeaux. More red fruits dominate the palate with copious amounts of acidity. The mouth is then left dry with a tingling, medium finish with lots of gripping, drying tannins. Maybe a couple years would be better? But as of now, the amount of tannins was a turnoff for me.

  • Two bottles down. Both pleasant, nothing astounding, but enjoyable and well received. On a scale of 1-100, it's hard to rate this higher than 88, but its a far nicer wine than most of the other Burgundies rated 87 or below on CT.
