  • Great aging. Still some young notes left.

  • Kept under condition 1 since September 2010, under condition 2 since September 2012 (see my profile). Colour: ruby, with a very beginning of orange. Taste: blackberry, leather and chocolate. Quite concentrated and harmonious. With 13,5% maybe a bit to much alcohol. More refined than a common Medoc AOC. About at its best. According to the chateau (2013) to drink before mid 2016; after that its quality will diminish fast. (87-)88.

  • Bought at the chateau september 2010, afterwards kept under condition 2 (see my profile). Popped and poured. Color: brownish cabernet sauvignon colour, without orange rims. Nose: jammy fruit. Taste: at first rather much fruit, some spiciness and a bit prominent acidity. After 15 minutes in the glass more integrated. At the second day a better nose. Taste with good, a bit sweet fruit, with sweet cherries, some leather and a fine animal note. Medium body, medium finish. Some complexity, but beyond a broad taste of rich fruit still something was lacking in this wine. Nevertheless good. Ready to drink, could be cellared at least a year, I guess. 87.

  • Relatively tight after 2 hours in the decanter...opened up in time...surprising amount of acid...iron/rust...beat the 2000 in side by side
