some lactic notes upon opening which blew off quickly, delicate red berries on the nose plus some sea breeze and healthy soil, delicate on the palate with some light tannins on the finish. A very pretty elegant chambolle

The nose has purple fruit, oak, sulphur and wild berries. Palate has a rather short length and a hollow mid-palate but no sign of the 11 greenness. Im interested to see how this wine develops in 5 years. A good effort for the vintage

Interesting profile here. Doesn't feel like typical Chambolle - it's very dark-pitched with blackberry and blueberry and an acute, pinprick texture even after dealing with the CO2. Definitely seems to have some stems showing their lines and even adding a bit of borderline piquancy.

Chassin Tasting Group (Joostenburg): (Tasted Blind): Light to medium ruby colour, with bright black cherry notes, lifted perfume, and some pastille red fruits. Quite a fruity entry, there is a lively vibrant acid that balanced out the wealth of ripe fruits giving freshness and leading to a soft succulent texture. The structure is narrow in fruity tannin but shows some muscle as the wine veers more to black fruits on the mid-palate, Enjoyable, the wine has a subtle spicy wood and closes with chalky fresh frozen fruit. Perhaps a little ripe? Hint of extract or bitter moments on the finish.

Joli vin subtil avec une race indéniable, finement épicé. Beaucoup de finesse, mais un fruité discret.
