Pre-Super Tasting Lunch (Terroni, Toronto, Canada): Popped and poured, followed for approximately one hour. This was a stark contrast to the Barolo, showing a much riper and darker fruit profile on the nose; candied blueberry, blackberry, spice, and dried herbs. On the palate, again, showing a much riper style, with a round, voluptuous mouthfeel, but still exhibiting a nice balance of tannin and acid. Finish is moderate, accentuated by blueberry preserves and spice. Not overly complex, or impressive, but was decent with pizza.
