Decanted one hour. Masculine, savory Stag's Leap Cab with umami-infused acid, vigorous tannins, dark fruit, long finish with a touch of bitterness. Would pair well with Asian food but was nice with burgers. Overpowering as a cocktail wine at this stage.

Nose of black currants, black berry, and plum, same on the palate, medium/big body, lovely, rich fruit, tasty, touch bitter, but better than the 2007 today, needs 2 years to peak, and a medium/long finish.

Transparent garnet with med-lite viscosity in the glass. Nose of volcanic ash, plum and tart dark fruit on the nose. Medium body and structured with black fruit, tart red fruit and pumice on the palate. Tart grippiness. Med-long finish. More special than the predictable Napa cab. 89+
