  • A equal parts Grenache and Carignan with a splash of Syrah. Fresh, fragrant and open. Dried purple flowers, orange peal, strawberry, black pepper, salami and mineral. Medium bodied, high acid, medium yet firm tannin, very clean, a touch saline, dry on the finish. Surprisingly ambitious and refined for a Roussillon. Don't come looking for power and glycerine. Only 12.5% ABV. Very interesting wine. The tannins are a bit aggressive at this point, seemed to build over time. Very good with a creamy beef Stroganoff. Should improve with time in bottle. 5 years?

Better on day two. Darker with leather and raisin notes, yet still fresh and nicely balanced. Tannins softened as well. I probably under rated this. Drink 2017 - 2025.

  • Dark color. Smell has game, pepper, floral notes. Moderately sour/acidic. Some tannins. Decent as a wine for having with food. Not very interesting by itself.
